TRT World: CFK’s Women at Work Featured as a Model for Teenage Mothers to Break Cycles of Poverty

“To Kenya next, where hundreds of teenage mothers are often forced to abandon their education, trapping them in cycles of poverty – but a group of them is breaking the pattern and challenging gender exclusion through skills training and taking up jobs in male-dominated fields.”

At least 50 other teenage mothers like Elizabeth Ombura, who come from informal settlements, have been trained in various trades. CFK Africa supports these teenage mothers in gaining financial independence by providing skills training and placing them in jobs in traditionally male-dominated fields.
