Milton Makhandia joined CFK Africa’s TechCraft program with a strong desire to gain technical skills in electrical installation. Coming from a background where opportunities were scarce, he viewed this as a secure and promising career path.
From day one, Milton stood out for his quick grasp of electrical concepts. His trainers noticed how diligently he approached each practical session, showing a keen interest in understanding both basic and advanced wiring techniques. His dedication paid off as he began mastering tasks that many found challenging, such as interpreting complex circuit diagrams and ensuring safety compliance in every installation.
Motivated to put his training into action, Milton began taking on paid electrical work during the weekends. This initiative not only allowed him to apply his new skills in real-world situations but also provided him with additional income to support his family and invest in better tools and resources for his future career.
“Working during the weekends has been a game-changer for me,” Milton shared. “It’s given me the confidence to know I can succeed as an electrician and taught me how to communicate with clients and solve unexpected issues on the job.”
Milton is now employed at Ezmia Electricals. As Milton continues his journey, he remains committed to growing his skills, with the long-term goal of starting his own electrical service business. His story highlights the transformative impact of the TechCraft program in turning aspirations into life-changing realities.
