“Kibera’s Slums Going Green organization along with several other individuals have been awarded during the CFK community awards in Kibera today. CFK’s community awards recognize those who have made a significant positive impact in the community.
Among those who won the awards are James Okoth, who helped a drowning woman in Kibera, Andrew Otieno Odongo who completed school and went back to help the community, and Millicent Nandoya a community health champion. CFK aims to help fight extreme poverty in African informal settlements through participatory research, primary health care and youth development.”
