“This team of remarkable women demonstrates what we have always believed about the people of Kibera: that they are capable of incredible achievements when given the opportunity.”
“It has been a fantastic run for them. They are here to talk about their season so far and what’s next for next year if they want to win it and what must happen.”
The County Government of Nakuru highlighted the success of CFK Africa’s two-month-long youth football tournament, which ended with the crowning of the winning teams this past weekend.
“Soccer can be used not just as a gateway to education, but to also help bridge ethnic barriers.”
“Through hard work on the field and opportunities provided by CFK Africa and the Kibera Girls School Soccer Academy, this team has earned its place in Kenya’s top women’s league. They are an inspiration to all of us.”
