CFK Africa is youth-centered and community-aligned.
We envision a future where a generation of healthy, educated, and innovative youth in informal settlements become visionary leaders and change-makers, facilitated by digital connectivity.
Youth in Kenya’s slums face many hardships, but they have learned to be resourceful, creative, and resilient. This holiday season, our youth wrote you a letter sharing their hopes, challenges, and gratitude. They remind us why our mission to empower youth in slums matters and why your support is so vital! CFK Africa is locally led. Since our founding in 2001, our participatory development approach has been rooted in the conviction that sustainable impact and solutions to poverty are only possible when the communities most affected are the real change-makers.
We engage community advisory boards, hold feedback sessions, and strengthen collaborations with like-minded organizations, building trust and credibility essential to the success of our programs.

They are the foundation of Kenya's health system, and strengthening their skills, according to health experts, will go a long way in ensuring the realization of universal health coverage. "We have trained 200 CHPs, 100 in Makadara and 100 in Kamukunji, strengthening referrals from community to facility and facility back to community," said Jane Ouko, #CFKAfrica's Senior Program Officer for Maternal and Child Health, in the KTN News Kenya Health Digest story here: https://youtu.be/nYQV38FHLSM?si=L2iBWXPgSrAgUfUG #communityhealth #globalhealth
