CFK Africa is locally led. Since our founding in 2001, our participatory development approach has been rooted in the conviction that sustainable impact and solutions to poverty are only possible when the communities most affected are the real change-makers.
We engage community advisory boards, hold feedback sessions, and strengthen collaborations with like-minded organizations, building trust and credibility essential to the success of our programs.

What responsibility should boys and men carry in ending #SGBV? Through #GirlsEmpowerment, #CFKAfrica brought young people together for a lively debate on the role boys and men should play in ending sexual and gender-based violence. As both sides made their case, the conversation pushed participants to think about responsibility, accountability and what real allyship looks like in practice. The debate may have had opposing sides, but the takeaway was shared: preventing SGBV requires everyone to play a part. #EndSGBV #YouthVoices

As part of our #LocallyLed efforts, we took growth monitoring directly into the community. #CFKAfrica’s Nutrition team worked alongside the Ministry of Health teams to monitor the growth of children under five, provide Vitamin A supplementation and support deworming. Working with CHPs helps us reach families through people they already know and trust, while identifying children who may need additional support early. The closer we bring these services to families, the easier it is to catch concerns before they grow. #CommunityHealth #Nutrition
