CFK Africa’s annual awards celebration in Kibera honored members of our community for their leadership and service.
CFK Africa’s community awards recognize those who have made a significant positive impact in the community.
US Ambassador Meg Whitman attended CFK Africa’s annual celebration of community heroes, including honoring Kibera Soccer Women FC for their service as champions of social change in Kibera.
“My message to other teens out there is to come out and look at the challenges our community is facing, and to try to address them in small ways.”
“This is a privilege and a chance to show the community that we can clean our environment ourselves,” one of the participating youth leaders said. “A clean environment means a better life.’’
CFK Africa is a registered NGO in Kenya and 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the U.S. that improves public health and economic prosperity in informal settlements through participatory research, primary health care, and education.
