Frankline Kaburia, a nutritionist from CFK Africa, explains that they are conducting screenings to identify malnourished children in the area.
“The social and economic consequences of inadequate water and sanitation services are generally devastating. Without these critical services, people fall ill, children miss out on learning, especially girls, and entire communities can be displaced by water scarcity,” said Eddah Ogogo, a primary healthcare coordinator at CFK Africa.
“This is a privilege and a chance to show the community that we can clean our environment ourselves,” one of the participating youth leaders said. “A clean environment means a better life.’’
A report from MIT researchers rigorously analyzes an ongoing data collection effort by CFK Africa to study which interventions have the best effect on boosting the rate of primary school graduation among students in informal settlements like Kibera in Nairobi.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will have overall strategic, fundraising and operational responsibility for CFK Africa’s staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission.
